IN Memory OF
RIP JELLY BEAN: 6/7/07: Jelly Bean had 3 wonderful sponsors and another lady that was
planning on sponsoring him for his HW test and it is so unfortunate what has happened. Jelly
Bean had his neuter and his shots performed yesterday, June 6th, and even though he growled
at the vet, it was ignored because they felt it may have just been his nerves from being at the
vet with someone new probing on him. This morning, Sandy went to pick Jelly Bean up and
brought him home. While she was trying to get him back in his kennel, he attacked her and if it
were not for her Mastiff, Sweet Pea, Sandy would have had severe injuries or could possibly
have been killed by the 153 pound boy that she cared so much for. We sincerely regret that this
had to happen. Sandy had to go to the vet and get a sedative to get him loaded back into the
vehicle to take him back to the vet and have him euthanized. Yes, all of the vetting has went
down the drain, but with Sandy having a 4 year old son and other children and other people
coming to her home, she had no other choice. The vet feels that it is because he had been
kenneled for so long and has said that these dogs do not do well without plenty of human
companionship and lots of one on one. Sandy has had him since February and he was such a
good boy all of that time until now. Sandy does her best to try to pick up the pieces where the
irresponsible owners have no respect to the animals that were in their care. She tries to give the
animals another chance but can only do so much. She works hard on trying to get them to the
vet, trying to get them to rescues or forever homes, but sometimes it just does not work out the
way we want it to. PEOPLE, THIS IS WHY YOU NEED TO GET YOUR PETS SPAYED AND
NEUTERED. THIS IS WHY YOU NEED TO ALLOW YOUR ANIMALS TO BE A PART OF THE
FAMILY AND GIVE THEM THE ATTENTION AND LOVE THEY DESERVE. I AM INFURIATED
HOW PEOPLE ALLOW THEIR ANIMALS TO STAY TIED AT THE END OF A CHAIN, OR DROP
THEM OFF, OR ABUSE AND NEGLECT THEM. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY
AVOIDABLE, AS WITH OTHER DOGS AND CATS THAT END UP IN SHELTERS EVERY DAY. IT
IS DUE TO COMPLETE AND TOTAL IRRESPONSIBLE BREEDERS WHO ALLOW THEIR DOGS
TO JUST GO TO WHOEVER HAS THE MONEY NI HAND, THE ONES WHO ALLOW THEIR
DOGS TO ROAM FREELY WHILE THEY ARE NOT SPAYED OR NEUTERED, AND BECAUSE
OF PEOPLE WHO GET ANIMALS AND THINK THEY ARE JUST A DOG OR JUST A CAT....AND
DO NOT TAKE CARE OF THEM! I AM FURIOUS BECAUSE IF THE PERSON THAT HAD JELLY
BEAN IN THE FIRST PLACE, WOULDN'T HAVE LEFT HIM TIED TO A TREE TO FEND FOR
HIMSELF AND STARVE HIM, AND WOULD HAVE MADE HIM A PART OF THE FAMILY INSTEAD
OF LEAVING HIM AND ABOUT 7 OTHER DOGS HE WOULD PROBABLY STILL YET BE ALIVE!
MY FRIEND COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED DUE TO PEOPLE LIKE YOU BECAUSE SHE CARED
ABOUT YOUR DOGS WHEN YOU DIDN'T! I AM TOTALLY OUTRAGED HOW PEOPLE DO
THEIR ANIMALS. IF YOU CAN'T MAKE THEM A PART OF THE FAMILY THEN FIND SOMEONE
WHO WILL! JELLY BEAN, REST IN PEACE FRIEND. WE KNOW YOU ARE NOT TO BLAME. WE
LOVE YOU JUST THE SAME AND REALIZE THAT UNTIL HUMANS START SHOWING
COMPASSION AND UNDERSTANDING FOR THEIR ANIMALS WE WILL CONTINUE TO HAVE
PETS THAT HAVE TROUBLE UNDERSTANDING WHY THEY END UP WHERE THEY DO. YOU
WILL BE SADLY MISSED.
RIP STORMY NIGHT: 6/13/07- It is so unfortunate, but Stormy Night
was seen by the vet for a second opinion and it was diagnosed that
Stormy had one of the worst cases of cancer he had ever seen. Poor
Stormy was only 2 years old and gentle while in excruciating pain. We
had rescues willing to take Stormy in, but due to the severity of his
cancer and the blood and infection pouring from his mouth, he could
not even get a health certificate to cross state lines. We would like to
thank everyone who offered to help and for the donations to get him
seen by the vet. You are truly appreciated, and although it was spent
on him to help save his life, he has now crossed the Rainbow Bridge
and will no longer be in such excruciating pain and suffering. God
Bless you all for your help. Stormy, you will be sadly missed.

Rusty  : Passed away 10/06
Hi all,

I am asking again for you to help with donations and a rescue
or permanent home for a very old hound. This poor boy was
picked up in the heat of the day on a mountain road and has
obviously been severely neglected. He was very emaciated,
is partially blind, and is believed to either be deaf or going
deaf, and Lord only knows what else is actually wrong with
him.  It also appears in the picture that he has a foot
deformity. Sandy believes him to be either deaf or going deaf
because she actually had to get up in the kennel and gently
shake him awake to let him know his food was there. She led
him down to the food.  So sad for this poor boy, but he sure
deserves the help he needs.

This poor old man needs medical attention as soon as
possible as Sandy is unsure what is wrong with him other
than the obvious and his age.  Please help this dog get the
medical attention he needs so he will not  suffer.  Sandy just
picked him up a couple of days ago and she is holding him in
hopes that someone will step up and at least sponsor him. If
you can help him, please do so by donating to the pay pal
account listed on the front page of the web site listed above.
Sandy is the Animal Control and Humane Officer of
Pocahontas County, WV. You may contact me or her
directly if you would like more information or would like to
know other ways to help.
Pequena
is a sick little girl right now. She
was brought in today and she is
sneezing and you can tell she has
something in her lungs. We think
she may either have an upper
respiratory and we hope if she
does that it has not moved on to
pneumonia.
